Hi,

Ours is SQL 2008 R2, BOL says the following permissions needs to be granted for a Service Account. My question is which of the following should be grated at the time of crating user(By Admin team), which are automatically grated by SQL installer/Configuration manager. Is there any other specific rights we needs to be granted for Cluster environment.

  • Local user or domain user account is recommended.
  • Log on as a service (SeServiceLogonRight).1
  • Replace a process-level token (SeAssignPrimaryTokenPrivilege).
  • Bypass traverse checking (SeChangeNotifyPrivilege).
  • Adjust memory quotas for a process (SeIncreaseQuotaPrivilege).
  • Permission to start SQL Server Active Directory Helper.
  • Permission to start SQL Writer.
  • Permission to read the Event Log service.
  • Permission to read the Remote Procedure Call service.

Thanks,

Ashru
