Data Migration Assistant ruleset

Hi,

I'm running assessments for SQL 2017 compatibility of our codebase using the Data Migration Assistant. So far the tool only detected join & order by issues.

I've noticed that it does not seem to include Dynamic SQL in its analysis. We also have a bunch of applications that will issue their own SQL statements, which would logically fall out of the analysis scope.

What are the best practices for assessing the compatibility of that code? Is there a way to consult the rules that are used by the DMA tool to have a better idea what to look for?
