SQL 2008 R2 Service Pack 1, or 2 Failure

Hi,  When I try to install SP1, or SP2, I get:

I don't see how to attach the log file, so i can't supply that right now. I tried stopping all SQL services and tried SP1 and got a message that said: your last attempt at this upgrade failed, please resolve that issue and try again. with SP2, i got something similar to the above summary, but not the same.  Any ideas would be appreciated.
