We upgraded servers from SQL 2008 to 2014 and as I have noticed the default settings for the SQL Server Browser would be auto start on reboot of the server. We do not use the SQL Server Browser so we have to disable it manually each time we restart the
server. Since the set up it seems the setting to disable was missed is there a way to go back and make this a permanent change to allow reboot of the server without the Browser service starting each time so we have to manually disable it? Even if we disable
it in services it will fail back to the auto start - looking for the registry keys to edit for the service to be disabled permanently.
